The 6500 System integrates a 6500 Series Precision Impedance Analyzer with up to eight 6565 DC Bias Units (10 A each), achieving a maximum of 120 A DC bias. Its modular configuration allows flexible DC Bias scaling for different testing requirements—
 

for example:
4 units = 40 A 

6 units = 60 A

8 units = 80 A

12 units = 120A
 

The 6500 provides high-accuracy impedance measurements up to 120 MHz, making it ideal for high-frequency component and material evaluation. When the applied DC bias exceeds 40 A, the maximum measurement frequency is typically limited to 15 MHz to ensure measurement stability and precision.

This system delivers exceptional accuracy for inductors, capacitors, magnetic materials, semiconductors, and dielectric components, covering both low- and high-frequency performance characterization.

Advanced Functions:

  • Equivalent Circuit Analysis (/E): Model components using 3- or 4-element circuits to extract real-world parameters.

  • Material Test (/K): Calculate dielectric constant (εr), magnetic permeability (μr), and related coefficients such as capacitance-to-volume (C/V) for thin films and magnetic materials.

  • Multi-Measurement / Sweep Mode (/M): Perform automatic frequency, drive-level, or DC-bias sweeps to visualize device behavior across multiple conditions.
